Paint Coatings and Facade Remediation Site Supervisor – Sydney based

RIGCOM is seeking a full time Paint Coatings and Facade Remediation Site Supervisor, for current and future operations maintaining our projects across Australia.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a growing industry in Australia within a team which understands the importance of providing a high quality service to a growing client base.

Essential requirements for the roles available will be to report to and assist the state based Operations Managers in repairing and maintaining coatings and facade remediation projects on large scale tier 1 and construction based sites.

Desired requirements:

  • Surface Rejuvenation by removing corrosion from steel with abrasive tooling and applying paint coatings to a prescribed specification.
  • Following manufacturers specifications for appropriate mixing rates and application procedures of paint coatings.
  • Taking the appropriate steps to protect adjacent surfaces from any damage.
  • Following and coordinating cleaning procedures and disposing of materials in an environmentally appropriate way.
  • Repairing glazing and associated panels by replacing glass in wooden and metal frames using silicone and/or putty to ensure waterproof finishes.
  • To record the details of painting preparation procedures through documentation and photo evidence for record keeping.
  • Coordinate site teams for daily tasking and ensure WHS controls are in place and maintained on site.
  • Liaising with customers on site to meet project requirements.

General requirements:

  • Drivers licence.
  • IRATA rope access qualification.
  • Must be physically fit & be able to lift, carry & transport essential equipment to the job location.
  • Must be able to pass D&A testing on-site on a regular basis.
  • Assure all site activities are performed in a safe manner whilst strictly following RIGCOM and Site specific polices & procedures.
  • Be willing to travel to multiple sites throughout AU/NZ as required.
  • Be self motivated and have the ability to work safely at remote locations.
  • Be able to work lengthy shift periods at remote locations as required.

Although the head office location is in Sydney, opportunities for all interstate project work may also be available in the future.
