The requirements and design of a compliant height safety system vary between every roof and structure.
To develop the best solution, RIGCOM undertakes an initial inspection and prepares a site-specific risk assessment that considers:
- The substructure of the building
- Number of people accessing the area
- Frequency of access
- Activities to be completed at height
Work methodologies and product and design solutions are then developed, which may include proprietary or custom engineered systems.
RIGCOM’s team of trained and accredited technicians ensure that height safety systems are installed in accordance with manufacturer instructions, regulator Codes of Practice and in accordance with the Working at Heights Association (WAHA) Industry Codes.
Each system installed by RIGCOM is individually tagged, certified and photographed and may include anchor points, walkways, handrails, guardrails, access ladders, mobile fall arrest systems, rail systems, horizontal and vertical lifelines and platforms.
Product information, warranties, load calculations, compliance certificates and inspection checklists are uploaded into RIGCOM’s portal, providing clients with verification that the safety systems have been installed in accordance with Standards, Codes of Practice and manufacturer requirements is also included.
All our technicians have been trained by manufacturers and hold all relevant Working at Heights qualifications. RIGCOM also carries full workers compensation insurance; public liability insurance; professional indemnity insurance, and is guided by ISO 9001 Quality installation principles.
RIGCOM inspects and tests all rope access, lifting, rigging and materials handling equipment, considering:

During the initial inspection, all height safety assets are recorded and assessed to establish a baseline asset register, enabling faster inspections, reporting and compliance management over time.
Annual inspection records are maintained, which enables clients to establish a system of inspection and compliance maintenance.
Whenever a safety system is installed, clients should be given handover documentation that demonstrates the compliance of this system
