Rope Access

Client: Allianz Stadium
Location: Allianz Stadium, Sydney, NSW
Project: Stadium maintenance and repairs

Allianz Stadium has been one of the most iconic familiar structures on the Sydney skyline for the last 30 years. Within this time frame, all structures require ongoing maintenance.

Utilising our skills in rope access, RIGCOM has provided ongoing maintenance to the various inaccessible areas around the stadium. With access to the underside of the roof soffit only seen as being accessible by using expensive and intrusive scaffolding, the client required an ongoing alternate solution. RIGCOM has been able to provide various repair works such as:

• Painting
• Welding
• Façade Repairs
• Electrical Upgrades

RIGCOM has eliminated other costly solutions for Allianz Stadium on a regular basis.

Client: Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust
Location: Sydney Cricket Ground, NSW
Project: Stadium maintenance and servicing

RIGCOM has been a contracted supplier of rope access, rigging, height safety and drone inspections to the Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust for many years.

After utilising our rope access solutions in multiple areas around the Trust’s precinct for many maintenance works, RIGCOM provided the coatings and rust repair works on the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground.

With strict deadlines to meet the scope of work, RIGCOM completed the painting and restoration works on time and within the budgetary guidelines.

The result was a refreshed facelift of all areas under the scope to ensure the SCG looked in the best condition for the Cricket World Cup.

Client: Questacon
Location: Canberra, ACT
Project: Exhibition display installation

Swapping over the Moon with Mars as part of an exhibition at Questacon, the National Science and Technology Centre in Canberra, required specialist rigging and rope access expertise.

RIGCOM technicians worked within the ceiling space to lower the existing 7-metre diameter Moon, before raising and suspending the new Mars exhibit using a system of cables and winches and securing it into position using a pre-engineered lifting system.

Location: Sydney, NSW
Project: Abseiling to install hauling system

For this Sydney-based client, RIGCOM technicians used abseiling techniques to install a hauling system so that bulky telecommunications equipment and materials could be lifted onto the roof of an 8-storey building. RIGCOM also worked alongside the installation contractors to mitigate the risk of falling objects and to ensure safe working at height practices.

A proven method for achieving a safe work position at height, industrial rope access enables RIGCOM’s technicians to access difficult locations without costly and time-consuming installation of scaffolding, cradles or work platforms.
