Rising to the challenge

Lockdowns, shutdowns, restrictions, social distancing, mask wearing, hand sanitising, the list goes on. Whichever way you look at it, it’s no longer business as usual. The COVID-19 global pandemic has changed how we live, work and socialise as we continue to endure this worldwide crisis and adjust to our new way of life.

The new normal

As we learn to live with COVID-19 and the unknowns it bears upon us, work methods need to change as a matter of standard practice. All persons conducting a business or undertaking must play their part to help stop the spread of the disease. Every construction, industrial or commercial enterprise is different; the big challenge for business continuity, when all is said and done, is adapting their operations to help workers manage the risk of infections.

Here at the RIGCOM, we keep the health, safety and well-being of our clients and staff top of mind at all times; whether it be in our offices, in our warehouses, inspecting safety systems, working off ropes hundreds of metres in the air maintaining building facades or meeting with clients. Adapting to these rules and restrictions to reduce the risk of exposure and transmission can be challenging. However, in addition to everyday precautions in the battle against COVID-19, our team wear appropriate PPE, travel in minimal numbers, minimise congregating in groups when on breaks or when leaving or entering worksites and disinfect shared equipment between use, to mention just a few.

RIGCOM …business as usual

Although it’s no longer business as usual as we operate in surroundings where exposure to the COVID-19 virus lingers as a public health risk, you can place confidence in our work practices that we do so in the safest possible way, abiding by all government guidelines and regulations, along with our own COVID-19 safety plan and policies to fulfil our obligations under public health orders.

As we come to grips with this new normal and the continuing health crisis, its implications and the measures required to battle the virus look set to stay. You can rest assured that RIGCOM, under these circumstances, will continue to provide essential services, safely. We are committed to maintaining the work health and safety protocols required by our industry. Safety is at the core of our business as we continue to monitor our new reality, acting quickly on the advice of the Australian and State Government health authorities, adapting our COVID Safe protocols as necessary.

As the leading provider of technical services and engineered solutions at height, our agile team at RIGCOM are here for you. We continue to protect lives and sustain assets during these challenging times, whether rope access, height safety, wind or engineering services.
